The bout featured a power struggle between our home teams, the Deathrow Dolls & the Chanel Cartel. Special guests Harvey Knuckles rocked the rink between periods. March 29th also provided us a chance to début our talented new announcer, Mizz Communication. The Deathrow Dolls started the first period strong by getting a 20 point lead on the Chanel Cartel. The Cartel battled back to get the score close at the end of the period. The queens of bling eventually came from behind to take a sturdy 15 point lead in the second period. Then, the Deathrow Dolls dug their way to an even score. The third period had tons of lead changes and some brutal hits. The score was tied for the last few minutes of the bout. For a moment, it looked like the Chanel Cartel had won. After the blood dried though, the Deathrow Dolls actually came out on top winning 129-125. Special thanks to the Pikes Peak Derby Dames and Denver Roller Dolls for lending us some of the best guest refs around. Mad props to PPDD’s Old Derby Bastard for joining our very own Mizz Communication on the mic!! This feud is far from over derby fans; join us May 10th for a Mayday Melee grudge match between these two bitter rivals. |
