FoCo Girls Gone Derby are Back with a Vengeance

Fort Collins Roller Derby Season Opener, Saturday, March 13

Fort Collins’ home teams, Chanel Cartel & Deathrow Dolls, face off for the first time in 2010 on Saturday, March 13, at Rollerland. After a one-month off-season, Northern Colorado’s original roller derby league began training in January for what promises to be an eventful season. FoCo Girls Gone Derby has completely reorganized its travel team, formerly known as the Kung FU Donnas, and is looking forward to bouting competitively against other WFTDA-certified leagues this year. Stay tuned for an announcement of the team’s new name and look. FoCo also received an infusion of fresh blood with 25 recruits joining us in January. They will make their debut later this season.
After a couple months of rigorous practice, FoCo’s home teams can’t wait to be turned loose on one another in the first home bout of the season. Fort Collins derby fans will notice some changes this year, from the lineups to the uniforms. One thing that remains the same is FoCo’s ability to put on athletic and entertaining bouts.Ten percent of the proceeds from this bout will go to Loveland’s Alternatives to Violence, an organization dedicated to intervention in, education about, and prevention of domestic violence, sexual assault and other violent crimes.

Tickets are $10 presale and $15 at the door. Students receive a reduced rate of $7 with a current student ID. Ages 10 and under are admitted free.
